I don't think Wright talking to the media about his benching has helped the matter either. That's typical Carlisle. If you don't fit what he is trying to do, to the bench you go even if the player could help the team.
1. Roddy (offense)/Humphries (rebounding) in 2009
2. Haywood in 2010 when he the Mavs best Center Ever during the 13 game winning streak but Carlisle went back to Dampier
3. Stevenson 2011 but the captains stood up for him so Carlisle relented
