I never bought the whole blame David Stern argument for that debacle. The Mavs were up 2-0. 2-0. GOING HOME. Mavs got outplayed by Wade and the Heat. Wade got bailed out by going to the free throw line. Mavs settled for jumpers. Spurs won 5 championships. They bring no ratings. They don't bring much when it comes to popularity. So why on earth would Stern allow them to win a championship? Five times at that?
