Fine, you can offer Dirk for him and yes Indy will obviously be interested. But I have monitored everything coming out of Indy for the last 6 months, and the concept that many outsiders have that the Pacers have some desire to move Artest is dumbly wrong - it is pretty close to the opposite of the truth.

You can play the what-if game and toss in a jillion hypotheticals. Just like Sam Smith does with Dirk. But INDY DOES NOT WANT TO TRADE ARTEST. They see him as part of the solution, not part of the problem.
