Cuban offered the 10% stake in exchange for content, which would have been provided by Ross Perot Jr.'s company. James was associated with Perot's company somehow (don't remember how), but he thought Cuban's company was some kind of scam so he rejected the offer. He wanted at least 50% or something. Most of the guys at Perot's office were supposedly giving Cuban a hard time too. He told us that he visited the AudioNet hq in Deep Ellum and what he saw was a large empty warehouse space with two computer mainframe structures, both with good looking women operating them. After seeing that, he thought it was all a scam This story was told to us in a lighthearted manner, so it's not like he hates Cuban or vice versa. Just something funny to look back on. If only he had believed in Cuban, there would be an extra $500 mil with his name on it!
