You're right, that would be very justified because that follows the top seeded team playing the bottom seeded team format. That all works out just fine.
But it is more probable that the 8 seed will move on, in which case the system is stupid.
The Top seeded team remaining, should always play the the lowest seed remaining, like in the NHL, IMO.
