I didn't have any issue with the Butler thread, or really even the "Cuban not looking for a big-deal thread," although the latter could've been helped by some thread branching once or twice.

Something like the General NBA Season thread is just preference. Some people like it, some people don't.
Now on a Rangers Season thread...I really like it. Because there's generally not enough interest to drive anything but a general thread.
