Right, so back to the issue at hand: Show me a story about a McCain truth squad threatening prosecution for libel in the event of false statements made about McCain, and then I'll agree with you that they're both equal.
Also, FWIW, it's a fairly cheap shot (and an incredible stretch) for you to link lies about Obama's "religion, his place of birth, or his citizenship" to McCain.
There are incorrigible and detestable characters that "support" both McCain and Obama. That doesn't mean you can attribute their actions to the candidates.
