I mean, if I was African American, I'd be much more hesitant. The government did inject African Americans with STIs and then placebos instead of antibiotics. Every year or two we find out pill X causes Y and you can join a class action lawsuit if it killed or maimed a loved one.

Still, you are absolutely right. Billions of shots have been given. Vaccines have no track record of long-term effects (other than, you know, living).
