Offense isn't our problem right now, obviously. We can score with anyone (except, apparently, Phoenix). We need some athletic, versatile defensive players. Our trade asset cabinet looks a little bare right now, as Marion and especially Vince don't have much value except as expiring contracts. I would
strongly consider dealing Ellis if it got us the right kind of player in return.
What would you guys say to a move like this:
Assume we throw in a couple of second-rounders. Gives the Bobcats the best player and virtually guarantees them the 4th or 5th seed. Makes us a lot younger, and while we might take half a step back this year, it unquestionably makes us a lot better going forward.
