A big increase in Wright's minutes hopefully can make up for it offensively. Though hoping we can Nellie-Ball our way out of weak defensive play isn't what I want to be saying right before the season starts...
I know that Calderon isn't a defensive stalwart, but he's bigger and stronger. When the two people play together, Ellis will probably defend the smaller and quicker guys and Calderon will pick up the stronger guard. Marion also occasionally comes in and defends SGs and even PGs that are particularly troublesome like Harden.

But yeah, this team will never be a top 5 defensive team, but if anyone can cover up our weaknesses and take opponents out of their game, Carlisle can and I can predict us being a top 10-15 defensive team.

I also see us being offensively unstoppable, with most of our practices focusing on covering up defensive weaknesses.
