Golf is great. I revisit it every few years. My advice for starting out: find a nice pitch n' putt. A short course of par 3's (anywhere from 3 to 9 holes, probably). Then just head out with a 7 or a 9 iron and a putter. Have fun. Drive at the range for a while.
