Companies pay millions of dollars for naming rights on stadiums and sponsorships and everything else in sports... how can you turn around and say that when someone NAMES their team after you, it's derogatory? Teams don't use mascots as a method of deriding a particular person or group.

I agree with you, but i think what people are offended by are the visual representations of american indians.
