I don't think he would say that we are a championship team just waiting for Dirk, but I agree with the sentiment. This team was VERY bad without Dirk the year they won the championship. Let's see what Dirk can do before jumping on the bandwagon that we need to liquidate all our assets and try to use our one-first rounder to try to get a guy like Cody Zeller who may be a flop or may take more years to develop than Dirk has time in the league.
Let Dirk play 20 games, and then we'll talk. Until then, this team just needs to win 5-6 games and get back to .500 before Dirk gets back.
