Re Mutombo, he was very good when he played against the Mavs early in the playoffs. But, did anyone else notice how, as the grind of the series went farther, he was being used very irregularly even though they needed him? I thought at the time that Van Gundy was brain dead at times, but on further reflection I felt it more likely Mutombo wasnt available to play very much in some games, due to age. He would play hard in one game - then barely be used the next, 2 days later.

For that reason, i would look elsewhere.
