I agree in part. I certainly don't think Carlisle "hates" young players. It's also absolutely true that young players are frequently objectively worse than their older teammates.

But I still believe that Carlisle has a comfort zone with older veterans, and in the heat of battle, that's what he's inclined to go to, even when the older guy isn't necessarily the best guy (although many times, he certainly is). I can't even blame him for that, but I don't think it's imagined in the slightest.
