The UN is a A Cold War relic serving as a political shelter for modern day terrorists. Nothing more. Any credibility given via cooperation with the UN will lead to backlash against the US.
We are not equals in the world . As the most powerful nation on the globe, independent action is essential to maintaining supremacy.
