Media attacks everything. Niether side is immune. Everything put out there in by the media is biased because people are bias. Stories are written with bias and when it comes down to it the media machine is a business. The only interest they have is not going out of business and making money. THey don't give a rats ass if everything they say is true or fair. They play to the crowds.

In regards to Palin, if politics as usual is finishing out your commitment to those who elect you I think I can handle that. Is she suggesting we should make everyone step down from office once they decide they aren't going to run again? You run for your position on the grounds you are the best person for the job and if you can walk away you either know you aren't or don't care about your position or voters anymore.

She has, and always will be, a side show the Republican Party pulled out of a hat to try and get enough attention to stop the grassroots movement that Obama had begun in the spring of 2007. Too little, Too late.
