Lets be realistic... Dirk is only going to have a franchise type year 1, maybe 2 more years. If we signed Tyson at near max we would be playing without a franchise player 3 years down the road and be missing the playoffs.
And it is nowhere near a guarantee that we are significantly better this season than we are now. our main issue is at both guard spots this season... not center
