Bottom line is Gobert killed the Mavs on the boards. Yes he's big and strong but if you go back and watch that 4th Qtr some of those rebounds were because Powell was not looking to box out. He was out of position often and the 1st thing you teach a big is to locate his man and box out.
If dude grabs just 2 defensive rebounds in that QTR the Mavs win

I don’t think the refs were that bad outside of missing a few over the backs and elbow shots by Gobert. Most of the fouls today were pretty legit and intentional. Especially against Gobert in the 4th. The Mavs have to find a way to put a body on him when the shots go up. It’s too easy for Gobert playing against a smurf team like the Mavs.
