That's because you aren't assessing talent in a vacuum like some folks - you're actually considering which player would be the best fit with Dirk, Kidd, Josh and JET (you know, OUR team?)

In addition, I'd say the Mavs have a bigger need for Marion than the Spurs do for Jefferson (it's not like RJ is going to be their #1 anything - Marion will definitely be our #1 defender, in addition to being our 3rd or 4th scorer next to Dirk/Josh/JET, the same way Jefferson will be their 3rd or 4th scorer next to Duncan/Parker/Manu...)
