Take away the conferences and just look at the league
MAVS
Mavs ended up with the 6th best record in the league (and were the #1 team in the league through the final two months of the season).
1) Mavs beat the 5th ranked team in the league (Clippers) then
2) Mavs beat the 2nd ranked team in the league (OKC) then
3) Mavs beat the 4th ranked team in the league (Min) after 4th beat 3rd.
CELTICS
1) Celtics beat the 16th-ranked Heat-- who were without Jimmy Butler, Rozier, and Jaquez
2) Celtics beat the 11th ranked Cavs-- who were without Mitchell and Allen
2) Celtics beat the 15th ranked Pacers-- who were without Halliburton and Mathurin
Everyone keeps saying the Mavs are underdogs, but we've now beaten the 5th, 4th, and 2nd-best teams in the entire league. Even without injuries, Celtics have had one of the easiest journeys to the finals of all time (16th, 11th, 15th). Then add to that that they never played any of those series with the opposing team's best player being active the whole series? Laughable.
Want to argue Celtics are the better team despite the total lack of challenging competitors? Cool, do that.
But the amount of national media doing a circle jerk about how the Celtics are already champs and the Mavs are just some podunk team from outside Wichita is such horse shit. Dallas is the 5th biggest market in the league and we just beat up on three of the top five teams in the entire league.
Give us the respect. We deserve it.

Add in the caveat that 3 out of those 4 games could easily have been won by the Pacers. They pooped the wins away through bad end game coaching and careless play.

Forget respect, I just want to win. What outsiders says is one thing. Come Game 4.....we know. Reminds me of Kidd's 1st Finals in 2002. Rankings are based on regular season records:
Nets - Indiana 15th, Charlotte 11th, Boston 8th
Lakers - Portland 9th, Spurs 3rd, Sacramento 1st
Let them pump up Tatum and Brown. Everything is leaning in our favor, bigs, the HOFers, the wings, playmaking, defense, depth. Let them talk, let them have their limelight for the week. Just like 2011, they were supposed to win the next 5 rings. Let them chatter away. We take care of business on the court.

Resale.
I'm getting to the age where an experience like this is worth the money. I did the same thing for the Rangers when they went to the World Series.

No way I could swing 6k, but all the power to ya!

Just think about this - ESPN gave Mavs a D grade for both Washington and Irving and a C- for Gafford
Thunder got an A for Hayward
Wolves got an A for Monte Morris who didn?t even play vs Mavs
And Celtics got an A for Tillman who only played 50 total minutes in the playoffs

It?s wild when media has its mind made up re Anthony Edwards, any excuse is okay for him.
This ?we never clicked? this series is such a cop out and I?ve seen 2-3 tv heads talk about this as a good point Ant made. And how they clicked vs Denver?when in actuality Ant sucked in game 6 and 7 vs Denver and Wolves still won.
Dallas would never get those kinds of excuses.

Just shelled out about $1600 for one ticket for game 3. This is one of the more crazy, irresponsible things I've ever done, but fuck it. This is literally once in a lifetime.

One of my biggest regrets is not watching the Mavs win the Championship. I was not going to repeat it.
