Should we start a poll or vbookie on the sentence length and fine amount?
I mean, it is the offseason.

I don't listen to ESPN radio in Dallas, but has Nate Newton ever commented on dog fighting? He was arrested at a dog fight.

So they'll probably sentence him to, what? like 18 months? 12 if he's lucky.
I heard the average time served on 'good' behavior in the federal system is 85%. So he could be looking at anywhere from 10 to 15 months realistically I think.

Minimum 1 year in prison, followed by 1 year suspension from NFL. That's my guess.

After a 1 year suspension from the NFL, you also have to apply for re-admittance into the league. Who knows how long that will take.

actually I have a little more respect for Vick now. what he did was completely unforgivable but he is serving his duty to society and that is at least something. also, will he be going to "real" prison or "not-real" prison? I cant imagine they'd put him in an actual penetentary(however you spell it, thanks spell checker).

Why would you have more respect for Vick now? That doesn't make alot of sense...

im just saying, at least he isnt trying to weasel his way out of this shit like every other rich ass celebrity. he acknowledges he did something wrong and thats a start. I'm not meaning to defend the guy for what he did, but he could have handled it in a way that would make me think less of him..though I suppose his lawyers are telling him that the cheapest way out of this is to plead guilty. and when I said I have a little more respect for vick now, I meant more than I had after I heard what he initially did with the murdering of the dogs and such. sure he's gonna be #1 on the shit list for a long time

Why do you think he's not trying to weasel his way out? Trust me, if they thought that there was a chance in hell that he could weasel his way out, he would. But the evidence has to be so cut and dry that they knew that his only chance to ever play in the NFL was to plea..... The reason why he's not trying to weasel his way out is simple... there was no way out once all of his friends jumped ship to give him up... the evidence was simply too overwhelming.

Being a weasel that he is, I don't think he wouldn't weasel out of this if there is a way to weasel out of this.
