Dallas-Mavs.com Basketball Game
With all the talk of trying to start another game in The Sock thread, I figured somebody should start a thread trying to organize the game.
I go to school in Norman, but my house is in Carrollton, and I could probably come down on a weekend to play. Anywhere in the Dallas area is good for me as long as I get good directions.
I'm relatively new so I don't know who organized the game last time, but whomever did so is welcome to hijack this thread. I just figured it would be good to start one.

RE:Dallas-Mavs.com Basketball Game
I did the organizing, Saltwater, but will gladly hand off that job.
Two things that I learned:
1) you need to start a month ina advance or so. it's just hard to find a weekend in common.
2) Findin an open gym is a real problem. We had to play early on Sunday when everyone was in church just so we'd have a court. if people are willing to chip in, you may be able to rent a gym from a church and play. that would avoid the Sunday morning problem.
just PM me if you have any questions, ok ?

RE: Dallas-Mavs.com Basketball Game
My YMCA just recently started opening on Sunday, and it might be a good spot for some pickup games. They have adopted a Sunday open gym policy, and I know that they are trying to get pickup games started on that time, so I can only imagine that they would be able to accomodate a suitable number of guests on early Sunday afternoon (I think they will be closing at 3 PM, but I would have to check on that). If any of y'all have Y cards from other locations, you should be able to get in for free, and tomorrow when I work out I will find out how much the guest fee is.
This location is near Arapaho and 75 in Richardson, so if that works for folks feel free to pipe in...

All my hookups are way out here in the Rockwall/Forney area so I'm no good to y'all in that regard, but you can count me in as a warm body/roster filler
