I view this as pretty close to a last chance for the Mavs to jump start a huge hot streak which could propel them into the playoffs. Get a convincing win tonight and a couple more over the next several quality oponents and I think we'll give ourselves a shot at the playoffs. I'm still not, by any means, sold on LA, Houston, or Portland making the playoffs ahead of us. At this point, all these close losses has DEFINITELY had a mental impact on this team and made us quite skiddish at the end of games. We HAVE to start winning a few close games against quality competition if we want to establish any kind of consistent momentum...

I sincerely hope that Steph Curry sits out tonight. If he plays and is effective, we're absolutely toast.

Well, after the debacle in the first round in Portland where they came back from 20+ on us and B. Roy abused us. I put less stock into losses like that. Granted we had different players... We chinned up and came back strong the next game and won the series (and championship in the end).

Good luck Mavs! Bogut will be playing-he'll be a hard cover for the bigs.

Predicting the Mavs winning a close game? Ballsy.

Mavs finally take their revenge from the 2007 playoffs. 101-89. Collisson with 20, Dirk with 25 and Dahntay Jones with + 15!

Question:
Do the Mavs get to use baseball bats? If so... Mavs win!

If Chewbacca, an 8-foot tall Wookie lives on Endor with a bunch of 2-foot tall Ewoks, the Mavericks win.

So Dirk was able to finish the Portland game with the adductor strain. And resting two days made it worse.
So probably with this rest he will be out of shape or rusty. Great.

Collison and Mayo need to do something. Sheesh, they are either both really hot or really cold.

Who's idea was it to start Dahntay Jones? No point in keeping Carter on the bench if your starting lineup can't score anyway.

He's excellent on the ball. A little overzealous at times and gets out of position but great energy from him on that end tonite.

Mayo is a good rebounder for a shorter dude.
