If you look at all of those guys' career regular season averages and career playoff averages, Dirk is at or near #1 in percentage improvement for PPG and RPG in the playoffs among all of them.

great thread Murphy3
I would like to know this as well.
Also:
Dirk could also break a record tonight. Needs 13 more FT's to break a record
During this series he has made 50 FT's so far. The record in a 5-game-series is 62 by Oscar Robertson

I doubt the refs will send Dirk to the line 13+ times in an elimination game, even if he forces the issue...

Still, the increase in offensive efficiency shows that Dirk actually makes his team better in the clutch, rather than just getting a bunch of isolations in a row and hoping to score on one as it seems every other team in the playoffs is doing now.

Thanks for quoting me I wrote that stuff about Dirk's chance already yesterday in the thread about Kidd's defense Btw, Kidd can break the record for most steals in a 5-game-series.

sorry about not crediting you Sportstudi
how about this from ESPN today ....
Nowitzki was 59-for-61 (.967) from the foul line in the Western Conference finals, setting an NBA record for the highest free throw percentage in a playoff series (minimum: 50 FTA). He broke the mark held by Larry Bird, who was 47-for-50 (.940) versus the Pistons in the 1987 Eastern Conference finals.
