Christie strikes again!
Updated: Feb. 20, 2007, 9:59 PM ET
Clippers suspend unhappy Christie
Associated Press
LOS ANGELES -- Doug Christie, who signed a second 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Clippers earlier this month, was suspended by the team on Tuesday.
Christie informed the Clippers last weekend that he no longer wanted to play for them. He was contractually bound to Los Angeles through Tuesday night's game against Phoenix, after which he can sign with another team.
He averaged 2.2 points and 1.8 rebounds in six games for Los Angeles. He signed his second contract with them on Feb. 11.

What the hell happened to Christie? That guy used to be a hell of a player, and from what I understand, a good lockerroom presence. Age and injury explain the decline of his skills, but when did he become so hard to work with?

He was a good locker room presence in Sacramento. He’s been malcontent everywhere else.

Yup. I have a buddy in Toronto, and he predicted his failure as soon as the Mavs signed him. Said there was a ton of stuff that happened while he was in Toronto that was never picked up as a league wide story.

He didn't really go into specifics. He just mentioned that there was a ton of problem between Christi and the team.
