Yes, we could have had Brady Quinn. We traded the pick that he was taken at by Cleveland in '07, but we used the pick we got in '08 to get Felix, not Jenkins. I think Jenkins was because we traded up from our own pick which was at 29 or something. At least, I think.

perfectly content with being humiliated. trailing by 40 pts and smiling on the sidelines.
tony romo is not a pimple on brady quinns ass, until proven otherwise by brady quinn at least.
no leadership, no heart, no regrets, right down to his bagger vance press conferences.

It's not like Quinn is going to be a savior for any team. That's like saying "we could of had Matt Leinart" they're going to be about equal in the league. (Matt's a backup btw and Quinn eventually will be too.)

at this point, does it really matter who they try?
is romo the leader of this team?
the guy is content in the 4th quarter to be hopelessly defeated.
he is not a winner, and will not ever be.
ya, brady quinn, brady james, that oldest brother from the brady bunch, all have more heart.

at least with blind darts, you dont know what will happen, and you MIGHT hit the bullseye. and if not the bullseye, maybe the board.
how far do you think they can actually go with romo?
do you think he will lose sleep over this season?
they need someone who might.

I would much rather have Romo than waiting around hoping to find another QB. I know that Romo struggled after coming back from his injury, but I have seen what the alternative looks like. I've seen enough of the Chad Hutchinsons..the Quincy Carters.. the Ryan Leafs..
Is Romo the leader of the team? Personally, I don't think that anyone is capable of leading that team. It is so screwed up at the very top of the organization (Jerry, Wade, Garrett) that no player could lead this group.

Bill Cowher + Tony Romo = Super Bowl Champions

Either the offense is too easy for the defense to figure out, or Williams and TO are just horrible at getting open. Those two guys don't separate worth a damn at times.

Ray Lewis did say ours was the most simplistic offense he'd watched on film all season. And then he backed it up.

He probably saw these two things on the tape:
1) Garrett won't call a run play
2) If you get close enough to Tony Romo he'll cough it up.
Yeah, I'd say that's pretty easy to defend. Blitz every time and wait for FumbleRomo to work his magic.

Okay...so Romo collapsed again...no pun intended...
But perhaps it is finally time to look beyond Romo. No, I am not the authority on anything, but I am usually one of the last to jump off of a bandwagon.
I have stated on numerous occassions that I have been thrilled with what Mark Cuban did with the Mavs since becoming owner, but that I have my doubts that they will ever win with Cuban as owner...
Well, I am now falling off of the Jerry Jones bandwagon...I love my Cowboys, just like I love my Mavs...but the ownership is freaking fried.
Jerry Jones, is simply a mini me of Al Davis. Sure I enjoyed those Superbowls in the 90's and the fact that Jerry Jones as owner helped to rebuild the Cowboys...but that was done as a team, between he and then Head Coach Jimmy Johnson.
Those were glory days and they have faded into a distant past.
My two sons have started Kindergarden and now graduated HS without a playoff victory, let alone a Superbowl.
The only common factor during this time is Jerry Jones and unless he changes, we will see more of the same. Ask Raider nation how that feels???
Hopefully Jerry will wake up and change, or hand over the reigns to someone who can make a positive impact for the organization.
Jerry if it is about the fans and the organization, then please show us you mean what you say and step aside!!!
I commend Mr. Jones for his want to, but his execution sucks and it's time he recognize that he is no longer apt to help this team.
Think of it this way, if someone where to buy this team today, would they fire the GM?
This Cowboys organization is mediocre at best...and that may be overating the team as it is.
I am loyal to the Cowboys, again as I am to the Mavs, Stars and Rangers...but dang we suck right now and there doesn't appear to be any hope for tomorrow!!!

Dallas is heartbreak city.
We will win once our entire team, and especially Romo, learns how to protect the d*mn ball.
