Mavericks interested in Brad Miller?
I saw on Espn NBA Coast To Coast that the Mavericks were interested in Brad Miller but then they said the Mavs don't have anything the Kings want and another team might have to get involved in order for the Mavs to get Brad Miller.

Well at least they are looking at centers, but they need to be looking at Kaman!! Maybe arrange a 3-way with the Clippers

If it was Stein who said that, then maybe I'll believe it. If it was Bucher...no.
Considering Stein was AT the game, I'm thinking no.

Brad Miller would give us a good shooter, passer at the center spot, he's tough and he plays hard. But does he make us a title contender? Another mid-range jumpshooter. If we could get him for Stack and leftovers i guess i'm all for it but i don't see Sac. doing that.

Dirk, Jet, JHo and Kidd are going to make us title contenders. If they don't play great we got nothin.

I think Miller would have been good with Avery, but I am not sure he plays enough defense to play in the running offense that Dallas plays now.
That is my biggest question about Kaman as well. Only Kaman is younger and has more ability to change, where I don't think you get anything new from Brad.
Brad, if they can get him for Stack, George, and even maybe Bass -- oK. Brad, if he costs JHo, or Diop, etc......nope.

Actually getting rid of Diop's contract would be about the only thing that would interest me in Miller.

I hope this is like a fall-back plan for a big man and if they're looking for one, that Kaman is the bigger target.

I just do not see how they get kaman. They can give up josh for him...but man...that's going to be a gamble also and I'm still not sure the clippers do it or when he's healthy.
I probably do it, but sheesh...
Also with respect to miller...he shoots ft's at a 78% clip. That makes is a LOT easier to give him the ball down low and not get a turnover because damp/diop can't hit their ft's.
If it was bass, stack, diop for him I'm doing that in a second.

In regards to Diop... it could be worse. We could still have Tariq Abdul-Wahad.

I'm a big fan of BMiller, nice shooting hand and a good passer, i think he'll be a good fit for the Mavs.

I have no idea why the Mavs would want Miller. None whatsoever.

If we can get him for cheap then it's fine.

Agreed. No one is going to cry if the trade involved the likes of Bass, Stack or Diop. Those three have just kinda been the odd men out since Carlisle has taken over anyway.

I think trading Bass is a mistake, Brandon needs to stay in Dallas. We don't need Miller. All of you that want to get rid of JHo for Kaman are idiots. Not only is Josh a much better player, but if that happened, we would have damp, kaman, and diop at center and nobody at the SF.

If we could swing Stack (who isn't playing, therefore wasting a roster spot) and Diop (who's been a giant turd since re-signing) for a quality starting center, I say we should do it.
How sweet would it be if we could even have him coming off the bench to back up both Dirk and Damp... or even playing alongside them?
If we can do it without giving up Dirk, Kidd, Josh, JET or both of our big men (Damp/Diop) I say we should do it. Otherwise, no thanks.
