It was expected, but now it's official. Dallas placed him on the inactive list. He won't suit up again. Maybe that was in the other threads, but I didn't see any mention of it being official.

Rick was just asked in his press conference if Rondo will ever play in a Mavs uniform again and his one worded response was an unshocking NO.

@BallinWithBryan: Rick Carlisle on if he expects Rajon Rondo to wear a Dallas Mavericks uniform again: “No, I don’t."

Do you expect Rajon Rondo to ever wear a Mavericks uniform again? "No, I don't," Rick Carlisle said.

The Celtics were 9-14 when they traded Rajon Rondo to the Mavs. They went 31-28 after the deal. Is that Rick Carlisle's fault?

I always thought rondo was an awful fit, completely understand why we made the move but this was always the most likely outcome

I said earlier this season that I felt like we were losing a risky bet. Our team had great chemistry before the trade and Parsons was coming along.

The FO probably didn't trust the guys to make a decent run and had to do something. What I don't like is that Cuban said before the season that they are aiming for a bit more longevity. And months later we trade Wright and Crowder, who never were stellar but quite nice pieces, for a big bag of nothing.

@BallinWithBryan: Rondo made a trip to the training room after the game, but it was just to put on his ear buds. Seemed perfectly fine leaving the arena.

Rondo never wanted to be here. It wasn't as much about how he fits here as it was just not wanting to be in Dallas or part of the Mavericks.

Thank god, this decision was so necessary after what happened yesterday.

All there´s left to say is, that I´m deeply impressed by Rick´s patience. If Rondo behaved like that for a few months, you have to wonder, how Rick and the players were able to bear that.

To me RC tried everything within his powers to make it fit. Him not wanting to have the whole offense run by Rondo is perfectly understandable to me.

I think you are not allowed to speak to another teams player, but we definitely have to get better in acquiring information. Odom now Rondo were two big miscues that cost us a season each. Can't happen.

I never thought Rondo is that much of an idiot...or stubborn idiot...or proud idiot.

But if there isnt one retarded GM out then his behaviour in Dallas gonna cost him AT LEAST 30m+

First Lamar, and now this. Hope this year doesn't strain the relationship of the other guys in the locker room. I've noticed that Dirk and Tyson don't seem quite happy with each other the past couple of games.

Mavs fans, you DO realize that you are being played? Back injury? Come on! Over the top hype and outright lies. An example? This! http://hoopshype.com/columns/david-n...uch-better-now Keep in mind that the appropriately named hoopshype is rumored to have connections to Mark Cuban. Or, at least, that he uses them to plant rumors. A better example is DallasBasketball.com. Cuban owned and operated, and yet to this day Fish and friends deny that they have anything to do with Cuban.

Oh, I get it. Sarcasm. And all the Monta is great posts were also sarcastic? The point is that Cuban from the very beginning has had a strict policy on any unauthorized leaking of pertinent information. This from a guy who shoots his mouth off to the press twenty-four seven.

Edit: I changed that to, "Cuban shamelessly uses the press to manipulate public opinion. And Dallas fans buy it."

Yes I do realize that you realize that Rondo isn't really injured. But do you realize that this has been Cuban's standard operating procedure since he took over?

Owners of other sports organization do not have a documented history of press intimidation. The Cuban tirade against D magazine. Sam Smith claims that Cuban tried to get him fired. Think Peter Vecsey made the same claim.

Edit: I've forgotten the guy's name. But there was a reporter who was banned from interviews because he asked questions that might have driven a wedge between Cuban and Dirk.

Edit 2: I remember now. It was Jim Grey. Banned him and demanded that ABC suspend him.

Let me guess your favorite movie is Starship Troopers and your favorite character is the brain bug

I actually think there are two Mark Cubans, and at least one of them is a Muslim.

Never heard of the movie or the character. But if you believe anything that comes out of Cuban's mouth, the local media, and better than half of what comes out of the national media, I say you are in need of an exterminator.
