First, they said he was a 25 year old rookie. Okay.

Then, they said he's been playing pro since '89.

Hmm... 25 means he's three years older than me. In '89, I was 9. So Gordo was playing pro at the age of 12? I seeeeeeeriously doubt that one. Maybe some freakish manchild MIGHT have a chance at pro ball in Euro at 13 or 14, but not a guard.

So, which is it?

My guess is that he's 25 and he's been playing pro ball at least 6 or 7 years.

There is a comment on ESPN that he asked SA to trade his rights because he wanted to play now. Otherwise he would have to take a 2-year contract to play in the Russian leagues and get out of that contract when he was 28, which is too old to be a rookie in his opinion. That article says he is 26.
