Shaq should quit his complaining now
Did anyone watch the Cavs game...
Ya they consistantly called ticky tack fouls against Z and Diop which ultimatley led to the Cavs loss. When a guy is sitting on 5 fouls and the game is on the line you dont call some of the bullshit fouls that were called
Shaq gets more calls than neone else in the league so he really needs to quit his bitching

RE: Shaq should quit his complaining now
I hate watching any game that shaq plays in. Whenever the ref allows a player to back down his opponent using his bulk, it drives me nuts and makes me want to quit watching basketball.

Diop and Ilgaukis are terrible defenders, what did you expect? They can't guard a dump truck.

RE:Shaq should quit his complaining now
i like that shad attack. i may have to borrow that. one a serious not though duncan gets pushed everytime he goes up for a shot. teams feel the way to get him out of his game is to physical yet that somehow that transaltes into allowing defenders push him as he is shooting. worse they allow defenders to put their hands on his hips. if you don't think that's a foul then go out to the court and allow someone to guard you with them being allowed to put their hands on your hip and get into your body as you raise to shoot. i will admit that shaq and duncan initiate alot of contact and i can live with certain things like duncan being bumped out of the lane or fronted aggressively but to allow defenders to use their hands and bodies when playing defense is ridiculous.

So true...if a guard tries to post up another guard the way he does they would be called for an offensive foul

Yeah, Shaq and the Lakers are Sooo mistreated by the refs and the league. Poor babies. Geez... 'fore you know it, they might actually have to win some games on their own.

RE:Shaq should quit his complaining now
Shaq is just a big cry baby. Shaq is given a green light to run over his defender to get to the basket and the worst thing that usually happens is that call a fould on the defender for getting run over and make Shaq go to the line.

Boy...it's spreading.
Payton got tossed in the first quarter for whining and cursing about a call...as the Lakers have gone on to a 25-10 deficit at the end of the 1st quarter against Philly tonight. Lousy call but GP should cut it out.
Ugly...VERY UGLY !

You notice that I didn't say that "Whenever the ref allows (shack) to back down his opponent using his bulk, it drives me nuts and makes me want to quit watching basketball.
I can't stand it when anyone does it. It's insane that it's allowed and 9 times out of 10 the defender gets a foul called on them, ridiculous.

RE: Shaq should quit his complaining now
And of course after playing 38 minutes it looks like shaq has run out of gas. It's a good thing playoff games aren't back-to-back or the lakers would never win another one. Boy the hack-a-shaq is working tonight too. HAH!! 2-10, looks like walker.
Edit: 2-12 now... I hope he misses 30...

RE:Shaq should quit his complaining now
Nope...no Hack a Shaq...but this is one FUNNY ASS game to watch...Shaq missed a point blank dunk(off the back rim), then Dalembert decided to do the same (off the front rim)....Philly sat AI a bit ago or he might have caught the entire laker team in points.
AT the end of 3, it's Philly 77 Lakers 50...and AI has something like 34, I think.

Shaq shoots FT's like AW shoots three pointers...he shoots way too many and makes way too few.

Unfortunately shaq shoots FTs like walker shoots 3ptrs AND fts. !!! You really have to wonder if anything he does is worth all of the bricks he keeps leaving on the court.

So is shaq done bricking ft's for the night? The lakes don't have a chance of catching up on anyone without kobe.

RE:Shaq should quit his complaining now
Yeah...Shaq's out of the game now...Philly 87 Lakers 63 with 6 minutes to go.
Phil Jackson and Byron Russell got hit with T's on a no-call involving Dalembert...(not Crawford)
and Horace Grant just NOW got another. (Don't know yet who called it)
This is totally funny...an of an odd travesty of sorts...Dalembert's foul was obvious but they swallowed their whistles.

RE: Shaq should quit his complaining now
Wasn't Iverson supposed to be a more efficient scorer when the Sixers added Robinson? Sure, I know that Robinson has missed some PT. But, I think it's now apparent that AI will never be more than a low percentage shooter at best. No, I'm not saying that he's not a good scorer. Him getting to the line alot helps to make up for his horrible shooting. I guess some things never change.
Obviously, I'm talking about the season as a whole and not tonight. Tonight doesn't do alot to help prove my point, does it?

RE:Shaq should quit his complaining now
Lakers just passed their franchise low of 70 points...by getting to 71 with 1:26 to go....
Devean George hit some 3's in the 4th or they would have never made it.
They're shooting 34% from the field and 43% from the line....

I wonder how shaq will spin this one?? I wonder whose fault this will be? Now I'm going to support the hack-a-shack by nellie.

Kiki ain't watchin' no mo, but......
if i were Jackson, after Crawford's calls, I'd seat the All-Stars and put in Medvedenko, Jamal Sampson, Maurice Carter, Luke Walton and Kareem Rush, and wouldn't make any substitutions until they fouled out or the game ended.
I think the point would eventually get across.

RE:Shaq should quit his complaining now
Philly really coasted defensively in the 4th quarter...or the Lakers would have hit a franchise low...no question...They had 29 lousy points in the entire first half.
As for Shaq...last night's FT performance of 9-20 seems like a perfect night compared to this mess...
He looked like he was throwing a shotput on a line drive...he hit low on the front rim...over and over...
No question that he puts this on the officials tonight...for his sake, I just hope he'll keep his mouth shut.

Sadly enough, Shaq's been a better FT shooter than Antoine Walker has been this season.

RE:Shaq should quit his complaining now
I was FORCED to watch Ed, Edd and Eddie until half time! I should have missed the entire game from the looks of it. It's pretty bad when even the replacements, Rush, need replacements because of injuries. My only joy is that Fox is back, bonehead George is my least favorite Laker now that Samaki Walker is gone. I've got both AI and Shaq on my fantasy team so the game was bitter sweet.
Can't wait until the Lakers get healty and put all the pretenders in their place.

Saying Shaq shoots FT's better than Antoine Walker is like saying someone is smarter than Steve Francis. It's not much of an accomplishment to achieve either one.

Or..
Saying someone is a worse FT shooter than Shaq is like saying someone is dumber than Steve Francis. It's a huge failure to achieve either.

FYI,
Shaq isn't the worse FT shooter this year let alone in NBA history. I'd rather have a player bulling over a defender in the paint called being "Shaq'd over".
Steve Kerr: "Wow, Tim Duncan just Shaq'd over Shawn Bradley in the lane for a 3 point play and Bradley gets called for his 6th foul, what a way to end the first quarter."

Shaq is far from the worst FT shooter in the history of the league. However, few have gotten to the line with such frequency and been as inept as Shaq.

though Waker is giving him a run this year......oh wait, Wlaker is a power forward who does not get to the line.....
I agree, Shaq should shut the trap.
