Default Walker rumors??
Hey this rumor is being floated around on the RealGM boards (suposedly it was discussed on ESPN radio by a source close to Billy King)....any thoughts???

Really it only makes sense on some levels.

First of all, Big Dog isn't the best fit here, and I'm being kind. But, he does have an expiring contract that makes him worth a little something. Maybe the Mavs think they could turn him in to something else...

But I don't think there is anything to this unless there are other parts involved. For instance, I would think that the #9 pick or Dalembert have to be involved in this. Would Philly really play that price for Walker? If so, then let's talk...

A big NO to this. Robinson doesnt do anything to help our current needs unless we either get the #9 or Dalembert in return as well.

This rumor really makes little sense to me, unless their is more to it than a straight up Walker/Robinson.

1) They protected him because of the deal with Walker, but Dallas didn't protect Walker, so he can't be traded till after the expansion draft, if he is not taken.
2) He has worse defense than Walker.
3) He may or may not be able to be traded straight up because of $$$. Realgm says one thing, and Patricias site another.
4) This doesn't do anything (on its own) to help the Mavs. A trade to make a trade I guess.

Big Dog is a good player who I think is extremely underrated. Still, I would hope that we could get a little more back from the sixers in exchange for 'Toine, and I doubt the sixers would give up Dalembert or the #9 just for Walker. Philly doesn't seem like an ideal trading partner to me. Unless there is a third team involved, this trade doesn't make much sense.
