TRADE ACCEPTED

mavs..
C- curry / bradley / benga
PF- dirk / fortson
SF- howard / najera
SG- finley / quis
PG- harris / penny / stefansson

IL- taw / pippen / e.rob

for new york..
isiah thomas gets walker but needs to part with kurt, nazr and some expiring contracts... they also get stack and L8 for penny..

for toronto..
since VC wanted top go to an eastern conference team, he gets to the bulls in which a former tar heel #23 did very well.. they get centers in nazr and kurt along with 2 expiring contracts in trybanski and harrington..

for the bulls..
they get superstar carter and have to part ways with curry.. and also an expiring contract in moiso.. it's time they get a superstar if they wanna reach the playoffs at least..

for dallas..
we get temporary PG help and veteran babysitter penny hardaway.. his contract just lasts a year so its ok.. we get eddy curry to play center.. we reduce our roster to the right no. of players.. but we absorb bad contracts in e.rob and pippen..

thoughts?

The only player that I would want out of that was eddy Curry. I dont think the bulls are ready to give him up, so i dont want to take their trash. BTW, y does averybody want penny hardaway all of the sudden. Last time i checked he was an average player who makes 8 figures

Actually a good trade for Dallas, since we get Curry. But Toronto gets so little that the whole trade is preposterous.

I cant believe that anyone on this board thinks that this is a good trade. The only team that it makes sense for is NY, who make out like bandits. I dont want Pippin (too old, nothing left), E-rob (A guy who chigago cant get rid of), or Penny (A guy who fell from stardom faster than anyone in history). MOst of all, I dont want to create a roster where we have 19 players under contract. If that happened we would have to trade a ton of talent to some team like the hawks who cant attract free agents for a draft pick.

We're going to have to give some players away anyway to get under the roster limit. Pippin probably retires anyway, so I doubt it will increase the number players on the roster anyway. Any deal where we get Curry for pieces we don't need is fine. We don't really need Curry, Laettner or Stackhouse.

But since the trade would never happen, it's a silly point to debate.

I like what the Mavs get in return but the Raptors sure do get some trash back in return for their best player. While the Bulls give away their trash and get good players in return.

penny still got game.. we don't need to get a flashy all star guard to take minutes away from harris.. take jason kidd for example.. aquiring him would be great.. but when does devin harris acually get to start?? after 5 years or when kidd retires.. we just need someone who could guide harris and stefansson.. not take minutes from them.. penny is perfect since he has only one year left with his contract, we don't need to re-sign him after that..

penny has a huge contract, everybody knows that. but the fact is, it goin to be an exipiring one and we could trade for him by sending 2 or 3 players to new york, trimming our roster at the same time.. im not overrating him but i bet he could beat you in a game eveyday of the week and twice on sundays at the age of 40..
