If it were me, I would probably neg him whenever his turn in the rotation came up. In fact, I might do that anyway.
But knowing that's not your style, I would just neg him once and then forget about it - or skip the negging if that bothers you and just ignore the fool.

Well first, recognize that neg rep from someone as insignificant as Jack.Kerr is nothing but a drop in the bucket.
Also recognize that when YOU in turn neg rep Jack.Kerr, you bring the giant top 6 neg rep hammer to the table.
And realize, in the end, it all doesn't matter.

I sometimes positive rep someone in return, and tell them something level headed and high minded with big words, to make them feel like I am the bigger person, and they're behaving in a childish manner.
If it's late at night and I'm pissed off, tired, or drinking beer, they might get the negative rep.
It's not like some spare can hurt your rep total.

You guys just made me smile....which was really my only reason for this thread...(wow I just realized how selfish I am! )
I'm not gonna neg rep him....I suppose I'll just let him be.

Was the neg rep profane, obtuse, and overly pretentious? Or did he just try to engage in some long political or socioeconomic diatribe?
Either way, he's a solid contributor around these parts.

his posts were of the vulgar name calling variety....I asked him to cut it out...
and he neg reped me justifying himself.
I don't hate the guy, but neg rep was just flat out stupid.

At least he didn't neg rep you with words they only use in Jenna Jameson flicks. I've gotten one or two of those from him in the past.

Damn - we should be able to give out more rep when the quickest coaching-success-story-to-flame-out-in-NBA-history gets canned!

you could have just said...."At least he didn't neg rep you with dirty words." I don't need to know about your dvd collection!
