Obama Buying 30-Minute TV (Primetime) Block
Americans will have no choice but to watch, because you KNOW they're too lazy to get their asses off the couch and actually do something.
Obama buying half-hour block of TV prime-time
By: Ira Teinowitz Oct. 09, 2008
(Crain’s) — In what is likely become biggest network TV buy of the presidential campaign, Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign is buying 30 minutes of time on major TV networks for a program to air from 8 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday Oct. 29.
The 30-minute buy is apparently the first of that length since Ross Perot ran for president in 1992.

Turn to Channel 73 on Dish if you want more of this kind of thing. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if this kind of oppressively omnipresent Obama TV presence becomes a permanent fixture of the depressingly possible, prospective Obama Era...
On. Talking to you. Always...

Oh, man.. paranoia is at an all-time high.
Haters of democracy, lol.
EDIT: back on topic, Obama is taking it to McCain, executioner style. I hope he handles the issues as President as well.

Because voting here in the lone star state, your vote is likely to be worth about as much up at the top of the ticket, as a half-eaten, salad-dressingless tofu salad would be to a dead dog half rotted into the safety lane on the side of the road... Now if you happened to live in Indiana, or Ohio, or Pennsylvania, or Nevada, etc... it might be different... But here, it's all rotten half-eaten tofu as far as Obama votes are concerned...

well, individual votes for Mac in texas are just as worthwhile, i guess (since your point seems to be that it is a foregone conclusion there)
I, on the other hand, live in the suprising battleground state of Virginia. woot.

Reporting the request Monday, the Washington Post noted that Newsweek, its sister publication, reported that two Palestinian brothers had paid $33,000 for a bulk order of T-shirts. Such purchases from online stores are counted as donations.
The campaign returned the money and said its staff had mistaken the brothers' address abbreviation for Gaza, "Ga.," as the U.S. state of Georgia.

Tell me, if a bunch of Palestinians on the Gaza strip are donating 33,000 dollars to Obama...if Americas enemies and haters of democracy everywhere are cheering for Obama, why are you going to vote for him?

?
1 + 1 = a bunch of Palestinians?
Incidently, McCain has also had to forgo some funds with Middle East ties.

I'm voting for Obama because I'm a total idiot that votes Democrat just because I want CHANGE. I'm voting for Obama also because I'm black. I'm also voting for Obama becasue I don't mind if he buddies up with terrorists.. Hey, terrorists aren't that bad. I'm voting for Obama because I'm gay. I'm also voting for Obama because I like killing children. I have a couple of cousins that are under the age of 5 that I'd like to get rid of. Obama's my man. I'm also voting for Obama because I love former Muslims that are also Christians with ties to groups that hate whitey.
Vote Obama.

This is why I don't post in the last weeks before an election very much... Still, it's only a reflection of what is done in the debates.

murph, you've said the "obama kills children" thing mutliple times on this board. For the life of me, I have no idea what you're talking about. the rest of your post above is all fear mongering BS i've heard before, but the killing children under 5 thing is a new lie i've never heard.

It's a reference to the live birth abortion prevention legislation that he voted against.

Thanks thig, then i have heard that one. So let's turn it into killing 5 year olds!
I know his voting record on that legislation, and most pro-choice advocates voted against the bill because it could have been construed as also applying to babies in utero.

That's actually not true. He voted down the bill even when it was worded exactly the same as the national bill that passed easily and was supported by noted pro-choicers.
He's been caught in a lie on that issue. We discussed it at length in a couple of threads.
Obviously I'm not supporting the rhetoric of "Obama kills children" but there's some legitimate questions on his voting record on that particular issue.

gotcha thig. I do remember the discussion of the state bill. Can't defend that - who knows. and i am personally against live birth abortion. but that doesn't make him a 5-year-old child killer.

No, but if he's willing to go as far as he's already gone, killing 5 year olds isn't much of a leap.

I didn't say the he kills children. I said that I'm voting for Obama because I like killing children... big difference.
Now, if you want to argue that a living baby is not a 'child'.. I'm not sure where exactly one would come from with that argument.
As for 'aborting' a living child, I suppose it's ok to kill shortly after delivery because no real attachments have been made. I mean, you haven't really had a chance to bond with the newborn. Does that mean I can kill my new neighbors? I haven't really bonded with them yet either. I mean, yeah, they're breathing and all... can't I mow them down? Can't I go ahead and abort their life?
Yeah, I know that I'm a bit prone to hyperbole when it comes to this subject... but all hyperbole aside... How in the world can any person on this earth justify what Obama has supported in the past when it comes to his voting record with live birth abortions. Live birth abortions are some of the most reprehensible acts of cruelty known to man.. in the history of our world. It is unconscionable that anyone that could support such an act could be the president of our country. To me, anyone that supports a live birth abortion is no better than anyone that supported the holocaust. Obviously, the holocaust was on a much, much larger scale..but they are both disgusting acts done by one human done to another human. And I'm not even a freaking Republican.. I cannot believe that any human being would support Obama simply because of this. yes, there are other reasons why I don't like the guy, but this is by far the most disgusting and disturbing reason. Any person that votes for him should truly be ashamed.
I'm against the taking of a human life in virtually any circumstance. I do not support the death penalty at all. Yes, that sickens me.. but not nearly to the extent of the taking of an innocent child's life in such a manner.

Good point. I certainly know that if I happened to be an Obama supporter living in Virginia, I'd probably be very happy to be able to hear all of the good news concerning Obama campaign-pushed loosened voter registration standards and voter fraud incidences being documented on VA college campuses these days. After eight years of Bush, it's damned high time for Change after all, whether the real plurality of voters in states like VA, IN, OH, PA, etc know whats best for them, or not...

he has actually been quoted to the effect that he didn't want to protect the lives of the babies because doing so might be an attack on abortion rights in general. Its the same kind of "we can't let the morality of the situation threaten our chosen political position" argument that also led him to make statements about how preventing genocide was not good enough reason to stay in Iraq. That's the kind of political calculus that is scary.

And it's also the same kind of political calculus that says that if we as a nation are against genocide then we are obligated to commit troops everywhere there is genocide.
The inability to recognize the larger picture is somewhat troubling.

I've heard he's buying time on three of the major networks (even possibly FOX). This is kind of creepy, Obama-man.
I'm curious how he will use the 30 minutes but any time you need to shout to say something, you're probably not saying much.

They just spent 8 years with a man who speaks as if English is his third language. Maybe they feel a President who has a bit of oratory is a perk.
As for public schools, yes the majority of them probably did go to public schools. Which would make them different than the rest of the entire developed first world in no way whatsoever.

The question is, what is the most unforgivable of those categories? being a child killer, being gay, being a former muslim or being black?
