Hawks @ Mavs GDT 12/6/2008 7:30pm CST
I had some really good mojo with that last GDT, so lets keep it going.

The Hawks are pretty good, we have to play them tough if we really want this win.

I have a feeling that this one is going to come down to keeping them out of the paint.

The outcome of this game, i think, will depend on how Dampier plays. If he protects the paint well, then we have a great advantage because our perimeter guys can play pretty good defense

Got to control Josh Smith. He is their catalyst. Can't let him get a lot of weakside blocks, and no dunks.

Any chance we're going to see PRR/Jet/Kidd on the court with Bibby/Johnson/Marvin Williams? I think the Tiny Ball streak comes to an end tonight.

Hawks will probably give us some trouble tonight, but I like a 5-6 point Mavs victory.

This is one of the very few times all year I've felt like I can say this, but
we are better than them.

Is Joe Johnson gonna be playing tonight? I see trouble from Joe Johnson Josh Smith and Pachulia that guy is very competitive
Mike Bibby is probably going to get ill from the 3pt line we just need to hold it down defensively and play with heart

I want to see Mavericks run, run and then ofcourse run more. It's back-to-back game for Hawks. So lets use our midget lineup.

I'm eager to watch the Mav's tonight. This should be more of a test than Phoenix.
Go Mavs!

A Mavericks' spokesman had this to say about Josh Howard after Saturday morning's shootaround:
"He's not playing.''
The spokesman, of course, was Erick Dampier, who walked off the court with Howard, who didn't indulge the media with an interview.
It remains to be seen if Dampier was actually privy to the medical report. But assuming Howard is out again tonight with his swollen left ankle, it will be the eight consecutive game he's missed. It's closing in on three weeks since he suffered the injury.
Count coach Rick Carlisle among those who feels that the talk about Howard's injury has become counter-productive.
"He had a lot of swelling,'' Carlisle said. "And he still has some swelling. We're working through it. Injuries can be unpredictable. You're dealing with mother nature, who doesn't always cooperate. We got great medical people and (athletic trainer) Casey Smith has been living with Josh the last couple weeks.
"But I don't like the whole thing about coming in every day and the questions: is he going to play? We don't know. It's going to depend on where he is six or seven hours from now. It's tough. And I don't like the situation for him with you guys asking him. Much of this is out of his control.''

If you continue to list him as day to day you're going to get asked the question every day.

Josh Howard is soft imo, how many games does this guy have to miss? Is it really that serious of an injury?

I'm more interested in this game than I've been in any game all season. Wish the mavs had Smokey the Soft Forward...that would make things even more interesting.
