I was unaware of this until a friend pointed it out today. King James averaged 2.2 fouls per 48 minutes this year. Hmmmm. The most fouls given to him in a game was 4 and this occured only 8 times. There was a period of games in March where he played over thirty minutes and was not whistled for one foul in any of those 5 consecutive games.

In the playoffs this year so far he has shot 59 free throws while only commiting 5 fouls ALL series.

I do not deny he is a great player, but he is a defensively active player and goes to the basket hard alot and only avgs 2.2 fouls per 48 minutes. Superstar rules at thier best. Does he get these stats without all the calls, maybe but I kind of doubt it.

King deserved it this year. Played out of his mind.

Really was there ever even any question about this? Nobody else even came close this year. The guy is bar none the best player in the game. And to think I actually didn't believe the hype about him before he came into the league.

We are observing true and genuine Greatness with King James!!!

LeBron, so far is a shining example of not only a great individual basketball athlete, but also a great team player, an outstanding natural leader.

One could argue that his team would go to hell and back for him, without him even asking.

He's not a thug and from everything reported to date, he appears to be one of those good character guys!!!

Mentally, his basketball IQ is through the roof.
Physically, he is perhaps the most dominant player in the game today.

The best I can see is a mix between Jordan and Shaq all rolled up into one body and mind.

With no disrespect to old-school superstars...I didn't grow up with the old stuff, and no doubt their is historical greatness...however this guy is on the front end of being the best all-time player in the NBA and we are fortunate to watch as he exceeds that hype that surrounds him.

As the Mavs struggle to reach that dominant form of 2006, I find that the LeBron bandwagon is rather comfortable to ride on!!!

Cleveland...the rest of the NBA world is jealous!!!

Last year I thought I'd rather have Kobe (if age wasn't a factor), but I'm quickly moving more toward this line of thinking.

When the kid leaves the game, he will be regarded as the best to ever play it. Jordan will still be #2, probably...but who cares about #2?

So how many championships does Lebron need to win to be in the conversation of best all-time?

I know other factors are involved as well, but come on, it's Lebron, he's going to continue to gets rediculous stats, accolades, awards, etc as long as he's in the league so ultimately it's going to come down to rings and player legend. His legend has already begun...just watching him you get the sense your witnessing something special. Really, I haven't felt that way watching anyone since Jordan.

What are we talking, 2, 3, 4 championships?

The guy is uber special the BB iq is through the freakin roof, as is his strength and quickness

Damn, watching him tonight, and nobody is close to him.

Need me to hit a 3 with 2 seconds on the shot clock. sure
Need me to play solid D. OK
Need a solid midrange game. Got that
Need me to take it to the rack. Im Lebron James out of my way
So you want to double me, sweet easy basket for someone.
Want a leader. Got that too

I am a mavs fan, but nobody is more fun to watch.

There's no limit to what Lebron can do himself. It's really just a matter of how good his team is, and how good the rest of the league is. He doesn't have a Pippen, but who knows, maybe he won't need one.
