The celebrities are starting to drop like flies (although this is the first Academy Award winner out of the bunch!)

I used to watch those SFO films with my Mom.

Loved Karl Malden. He was a genuinely tough guy--he got that nose in an era when football players didn't wear helmets. Rest in peace.

You might want to rephrase that...

Totally understandable - he hasn't acted since 1993 (and mostly just television toward the end of his career - he died at 97-years-old!)

A few highlights:

Patton

Streets of San Francisco

The Cincinnati Kid

Birdman of Alcatraz

On the Waterfront

A Streetcar Named Desire

I just finished watching 'Patton' in memory of his greatness - Karl Malden was absolutely brilliant at creating chemistry with lead actors to become the perfect supporting man (think Benicio del Toro...)

George C. Scott = Emmitt Smith
Karl Malden = Larry Allen
