DM.Com - up in the sky!!!
Hey guys, thought I chime in with some pretty cool technology update information.
I'm currently on an American Airlines flight from Dallas to Vegas and I'm connected via WiFi in the sky.
Now I get to torment users when I travel...or should I say, some users get to torment me no matter where I'm at.
Perhaps it's a bit of the geek in me, but being on line, in flight is pretty cool!!!
I believe we are at around 35,000 feet in the air and Dallas-Mavs.com is being introduced to other passengers!!!
I feel as high as Josh Howard!!! My apologies, I couldn't resist...
Hope everyone else is having a freakin awesome week, don't let the negative news get you down...life keeps tickin and we keep livin.
By the way, anybody have any betting tips or wishes while I'm in Vegas? I'll be stayin at the Mandalay Bay and working at the RSPA Retail Now Show.
Take it easy fans and haters!!!

You should put down some money on the Mavs winning it all. I think its 12-1 last time I checked. Throwing down 20 on that is not a horrible investment.

It was only a matter of time before we had wifi on airplanes. How much do they charge?

funny, i had WiFi on the flight...with a "Free Promo Code" by the way, the normal charge appears to be about $10 per flight...actually pretty reasonable.
However, when I was on the ground and at the hotel, they wanted something like $30 for a 24 hour connection...I was too busy with conference meetings and client visits that I didn't connect for the week. Of course, having the e-mails on my cell helped...I didn't NEED to connect, so I stayed off-line and saved the company a few bucks.
The flight back was NOT equipped with WiFi.
Next week, I fly to Seattle for a couple of days and then LA for a couple of days...hopefully the WiFi will be on those flights...then a trip to Nashville on August 13-15.
My one regret was getting exhausted with work, that I took a nap and missed an opportunity to check out the Mavs in summer league play. I was freakin ticked off when I woke up and realized it was too late to catch the game. But at the airport, I did run into Mavs fans from New York!!!
It was cool checkin in and getting connected with the DM.Com gang!!!

I've done the in/out burger thing on past trips. Not bad, but not my favorite...each time I drove by one, I was already full from a previous meal...so this trip I skipped them.
Actually I did stop by a Carl's Jr....had their $6 Burger...the Portebello and Swiss. That thing was sloppy messy good!!! Eating in the car, trying not to drip on my tie before a client meeting...fun stuff!!!

My bad, I skipped the bets this time. I'm sure I'll make it back soon, so maybe on my next trip I'll put some money down on our beloved Mavs!!!

I hope things don't get that bad...I do recall watching a PG rated movie, thinking that there wouldn't be a problem...only to get a screen full of bouncing breasts, and to have a Stewardess ask me to turn it off...
It was "The Bounty" with Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins.
I grabbed it because it was "PG" rated and I figured I wouldn't have to worry about the content...let me tell you, I was surprised and then a tad bit sheepish when I got busted.
Flights are challenging enough, we don't need any "Solo Mile High Clubs" taking place!!!

you know what is ridiculous? That the most expensive hotels (full service marriotts and hiltons) charge a RIDICULOUS amount for internet connection, while the cheaper ones (courtyard, for example) have it for free? Hate it.
