Always thought he could take on a bigger role under Carlisle the way he played (HARD!). Never quite became our next Stevenson. Best of luck.

Dahntay was one of my favorite guys on the roster. Soft spoken off the court, but communicated well and played as hard as anyone. He'll be missed.

I really liked him and wished he would play more. His defense was amazing and his leadership was great as it looked.
Good luck in Atlanta.

Could not pass, ignored Dirk. Still better than Crowder and DoJo.

I'll miss you, Danthay. Your defense and vocal leadership were important on this team. Good luck in Atlanta.

Classy guy. Enjoyed watching him while he played for Dallas and on the Pacers. Also looking forward to seeing what Morrow can bring to the table.

I also enjoyed watching Dahntay play with his hustle on both ends of the court. In particular, I appreciated the way he would fearlessly attack the basket on offense as if begging for contact.

Loved his tenacity and professionalism. And very cool that he's keeping the beard. Hope the guys don't make him wait too long to shave it.

He was very appreciated and welcomed in that locker room. He was a guy that was professional but he kept the room very loose. Carlisle sincerely appeared to be a tad bummed that Dahntay was being shipped off. It's not like he saw Dahntay as the piece that had to stay at all cost, but he left a great impression on the staff and did whatever was asked of him.
He was a pretty funny dude in the locker room. I didn't expect that at all.

Dantay just contributed more to the Mavs playoff chances than half the guys on our roster have all season.

My inner sense of justice, honesty and fair play just threw up all over itself while watching Bruce Bowen talking about that play.

Nah, wasnt on Bowen level. I think Jones wanted to go up for a block but realized he has no chance and that Kobe gonna draw cheap contact up there and stopped his jumping resulting in this "mini"-jump.
And nice to see Kobe kicking his leg out 90° right into Jones stomach to draw the foul. Good non-call. His foot may have landed somewhere else without doing the Chuck Norris....

Hilarious that they dug out the play from the 2009 playoffs where DaJo tripped Kobe. Today they honestly built the narrative that Dajo has a history in "trying to injure Kobe" because of that play.
I mean it was uncalled for and totally on purpose, but if you wanna injure a player you might want to try harder than just tripping him up.

So what was Bruce Bowen's on the matter? That a dirty play such as that one has no place in the league?

Tripping people is dirty. Don't do it. I recommend instead kicking people in their kidneys. -- Bruce Bowen

Sure, but he's learned a thing or two since those days. For example, it's one thing to make someone spit blood for a little... it's another to make them pee blood.

Just want to say that I hate how Dahntay is getting demonized by the media at the moment. I watched the play over and over again and I don't get how so many are saying it was 'clearly' intentional. Looked to me like a normal Dahntay Jones defensive play where he crowds the shooter and makes it tough. At the very least, it isn't clear enough for Henry Abbott to make Jones out to be the present day Bruce Bowen. And, Kobe tweeting pictures of his ankle -- I mean, who does that?

Jones got shat on from everyone on twitter. It was pretty pathetic display of humans trashing him.
