nail biter
3rd quarter sucked AGAIN
Dirk is done, should have done the trade for Kobe back in 07
we signed CV to spread the floor with his shooting, not clock the lane with dump alley-oop attempts
Barea cant run the offense...
Fire RC

The offense and ball sharing was awesome. Ellis in the 3rd was hot, Parsons played great D the whole night.
Defense was bad but wasn't needed tonight.

Also, is this the best JJ has ever played? He went chasing money and was miserable but now he's back and it looks like he couldn't be happier. Same with Tyson, sort of.

Yeah, Barea has been great at playing within himself - he doesn't force any shots or make dumb turnovers. Plus, he really has a sense of where everybody is on the floor. He and Dirk have obviously picked up where they left off, but he also shas great chemistry with Wright (who doesn't?), and seems to be growing more comfortable with Parsons and Ellis as well.

The best he ever played was the '11 Finals, and portions of the Lakers/Thunder series. But this is the second best. He looks terrific.

Bingo... Dirk only played 21 minutes, Tyson 22 - they should be fresh tomorrow.

Damn this offense is ridiculous. I really wonder if they can keep up this historic pace all season long. Parsons was attacking tonight and shooting with confidence.
Big game against Houston tomorrow. Coming off of a back to back it's going to be tough but the starters got some needed rest tonight.

Honestly, I think Barea looks more composed now than he did then. He's matured as a player - more decisive, less of a risk-taker... He knows his limits and conducts himself as a veteran of the game.

Honestly, I haven't seen ball movement this good since Jason Kidd was in a Mavs uniform... LOTS of open looks tonight!

That may be true. But those were good teams. So far, the Mavs have played (mostly) bad teams this season. If he's still playing this well consistently against quality competition, I'll revise.
Maybe he'll dominate tomorrow night...just because I said that.

I don't know if he's playing better or not. All I know is that him running the second team really, really makes that group not miss a beat. Great job. He also makes sure the end of the bench guys keep it going as well.
Very Spurs-like to see the second unit continue to play like the game still matters.

Ellis and Parsons combined for 33 points in the third quarter alone. LA scored 24 points as a team in the third... this offense is absolutely insane.
And I can't express how happy I am to have Barea back on this squad. Both sentimentally and from a basketball standpoint. Everyone who said they'd rather have Mekel than JJ please stand up.

Watching that 4th quarter I kept thinking to myself, Rick should take JJ out and put Jameer back in, because we need our best players fresh for tomorrow night. J/K. Mostly.
Damn, that was an ass whuppin'!

Another gem:

"Carlisle is sensational."

Kobe is such a bitch it makes me laugh. When the Lakers got ready to play SA last week, he talked about how envious he was that Spurs kept their top guys together for so long, but then goes on today to defend that garbage contract he signed and still thinks they can win with something like that.
Sorry for the run on, but I hate Kobe and anyone that defends that contract and turns around and tries to knock Dirk for doing what he loves and is the most selfless player ive ever seen

Kobe's career might end worse than I ever seen a hall fame player end. At least Jordan ended his going with a fairly competitive wizards team.

Some Lakers fan had the nerve to make an 18-minute highlight video and put it on youtube. Another fan made a 10 minute video. But they're both Lakers highlights only. THAT'S dedication!
