Just heard on FoxSports1190 some interesting quotes coming from Lewis.
A reporter asked Lewis if Houston has the early edge over the Mavericks because that is his hometown. Lewis told the reporter that Houston does not even come close to the Mavericks organiztion and that people should not read into that. Also, when he was walking down to the court..they had the public address announcer do a starting lineup with him in it. I'm getting chill bumps just thinking about this happening. Cuban also had some kids that were having some camp at the Mavs pratice facility carry around photos of R. Lewis in a Mavericks uniform. My guess was to them run up to him for autographs.. Way to GO CUBAN!! It looks like he pulling out all the stops to get this guy signed. |

I guess since Rashard skipped college, Cuban is resorting to the tactics used by collegiate coaches/recruits. Hey...whatever works!

Cuban does everything to make sure his team wins. I love this guy. You all know I have been his most staunch defender, even when he has drawn all those fines, opened his mouth when a lot of you (even me at times) thought it was poortaste, etc. This is why I do it. The guy is a winner and does what it takes to make the Mavs better. God bless Mark "Max" Cuban!!!

cuban IS annoying as hell..but i'm glad he's the mavs owner. glad the mavs have someone to spend money freely...

I really don't know whether I should allow my expectations to get higher and higher....Now it seems if Lewis *doesn't* sign, it will be a pretty big disappointment.

thx hoops. that's how i figured it. should probably stay away from this forum for a few days to avoid some of the pretty far-fetched stuff being thrown out there.

If he does sign here it would be a HUGE longshot come true. Don't invest any emotion into this yet for sure.
