Don't want to post the score because I think this one could be bad
Hawks have got to want to come out and play tonight ( you would think) The mavs are favored by 7. But have had a hard time winning more then three games in a row this year. Either Hawks in a really close game. Or the mavs in a blowout, cant see it being any other way.

I'm thinkin' Mavs 102 Hawks 92
Dirk will be pissed about his subpar performance last game and have a good one w/ 24 pts. and 12 rbs.

That's a good thought. To the best of my knowledge, there is no 7 footer on the Hawks. So nobody has the height to stop him.

Mavs 114 Hawks 84
Dirk hits them up with 30 12 in the little minutes he does get.
Finley decides to find his range and hits them up with 29 7 boards
Nash decides he actually wants to get his players involved by putting up 8 assists but less then 35 minutes.
Nick decides he wants to make his shots with 21 points and continunes to distribute the ball well with 6 assist.

Two words... Pipe Dream.
IMO the Mavs should save a perfect performance like this against the Kings.

Off to a very good start. And our offense is good. Nash only has 1 shot and 4 assists. Coincidence that we are playing well. When Nash looks to involve others, we usually play well.

I just got in and checked out the game stats briefly.
Looks good so far, with a 10 point lead early.
Raef looks impressive at the start once again. Are they purposely looking for him offensively or is he just in the right place at the right time?

Raef is doing a fine job. This is as active as I've seen him this year. He is going straight to the front of the rim without hesitancy, with or without the ball.

A little of both. He is cutting nicely at appropriate times and he is getting some mini post looks.

I think they said Shawn had a thigh contusion, and was a ? before the game. So he'll probably be limited 2night

Out of the three that were slumping: Nash, Fin and NVE, Nash found his shot first. Hopefully after the last game and if tonights any indication (so far) Finley has found his. From not only downtown, but overall as well. Now if we can get NVE in some sort of rhythm we should be back to those 100+ point games.

The Mavs pull Raef for a breather and don't put in Mantis? So now the Hawks are climbing back into the game, all with interior play.

For those of you asking about Bradley, they said in pre game that he has a severe thigh contusion and was doubtful for the game. So we might not see him tonight.

MFFL: exactly.
Lineup of Nash, NVE, Fin, Walt and Dirk on the court spells T-R-O-U-B-L-E on the court. And what I don't understand is why the announcers don't pick up on it.
Dirk is fine. Not getting any post ups though. Which is really mind boggling.

Explain to me why you leave Terry open? Seriously. He is the only weapon right now for the Hawks, yet we are leaving him **wide open** for shots. Could we have some pressure on him.
And the 2nd quarter was shades of last year. No offensive flow at all. No post up play. No free throws. Just scatterfuck small ball.

I can only be grateful that Finley wasn't in there for the last 2 1/2-3 minutes cause his ass won't be on the line for not guarding Terry.
Seriously, who's supposed to be guarding him?? Are we going to let him drain threes all night?
Too bad about Bradley. At least LaFrentz is playing well. But, obviously, once he goes out, we're a bit screwed. Have they said whether it's a one game deal or could he miss more games?

I suppose it was a zone, Bayliss?
If it was a zone they should switch to box and 1 in the second, since Terry is the only one who scores for the Hawks. Damn I wish I could see every game like you guys.

They said it was a thigh bruise. Probably a 1 game deal. But we sorely miss his rebounding and defensive presence. When Bradley plays that means we will never see the lineup of:
Nash
NVE
Fin
Walt
Dirk

We've got to pick up the defense. Leaving Terry open like that repeatedly is just unacceptable. He's the one guy we have to know where he is when we're in a zone.
Also, we need to go inside. Stop settling for this jumpshot crap if the shots aren't falling.

Then the first or 2nd time he drills a 3 go to a box and 1 and have Griff or Bell literally be in his shirt. We can't afford to let Terry go wild on shooting.

The Mavs were cruising in the first - Raef was STRONG. The beginning of the second was good, but then Raef went to the bench. The Mavs started trading baskets with the Hawks. Then Nash comes back on to give the Mavs the ultimate small ball lineup (Nash, NVE, Finley, Williams, with Dirk at the center) and the Hawks come roaring back.
