This is one of the two easiest games we have left this season...
Cowboys look like they're playing for draft picks!

We're making David Garrard look like Peyton Manning. We only have 3 points against one of the worst defenses in the league.
This season is just like a series of kicks to the crotch.

I feel bad for anyone who thought watching this would be any different. Just means more people will watch the Mavs once baseball is over with .

Well if there was ever one game where it would look different, I figured a home game against Jacksonville might be it.
But nope, doesn't even seem to matter.

I wouldn't be too upset about this one, simply because it's obvious the Cowboys have mailed in the season.
Unless mailing it in is the sorta thing that upsets you, in which case you should be suicidal.

McGee needs to play the rest of the season. There is no reason not to.

If he does, I might have to take back what I said to Cad in the other thread about Dez being a decent option for chum.
But I can't really argue about that. I would say it's not fair to the team to put McGee in to the rest of team, but they've all mailed it in so screw them.
I also want all of Barber's carries going to Choice. Barber is worthless and needs to be released in the offseason, and I know Choice is hungry for a chance to prove himself.

true, we could play mcgee and choice but those options give us the best chance at winning. And since we are playing for draft pics right now, or best bet is to play the starters..we probably have a better chance at losing with them playing.

I'll give you a reason: he can't throw.

Seems like a perfect opportunity to confirm that so you can go get another project third string QB for next season.

This I agree with.
And I suppose there's always the possibility he's reworked his throwing since college and figured something out. He was actually a pretty good passer in HS. So it couldn't hurt to give him a shot.

What difference does it make? If Jerry is picking, it'll either be another receiver, linebacker or running back (or whatever other positions we're already too deep at...)
I think Jerry needs to hand the GM duties over to Stephen, hire Bill Cowher as coach, then kick back and count his money/rings...
Unless something like that happens, I have little faith in our ability to get better as a team (even with a high draft pick...)

Demote Wade to DC and Promote JG -- see if he has anything or not.
Let your inside Backers start.
McGee gets the start to find out if he is it, or if you need another project.
Dez and Bryant start -- RW11 gets to be the #3 - with Hurd and Ogle seeing some time.
Choice gets the start with Jones as the backup and MB the 3rd down back.
Backup OL get playing time as deserved.
--------------------------------------
Come draft time -- they should be looking for OL (especially G/C). They should be looking for a legit Middle linebacker (think Ray Lewis) to play with Lee.
They need 2 safeties, IMO. No more Ball/Sensi.
They need a legit bruising Fullback. One with lots of smarts.
They need to know what they have on the DL.
Jerry needs to bring in a detail oriented whip cracker.
IMO, a coach has 3 jobs (really 4). The X's and O's, discipline, and motivator. Wade gets one, and maybe 1 and half of three needed. The 4th thing is PC. Buddy Ryan missed the PC and it always cost him even when he had the others. If the coach is lacking in any of the three -- they get there butt handed to them. This is why I think that Sean Payton and Todd (KC) are fine, but I doubt that JG will get it done. I don't think he can be the discipline.
Norv Turner knows motivation and X's but can't get there as far as SB's go.
I'd rather have Mike Singletary with this team than Norv right now, because I think this team would do the same thing under Norv it is doing under Wade -- under achieving. Just like they are saying in San Dog.

I'd honestly forgive Jerry if he fired Phillips like....yesterday. It's just stupid to keep him on at this point.

No reason to fire him at this point - it won't change the outcome of this season and Jerry will still have to pay him.
Plus, keeping Wade as head coach only increases our chances of getting a high draft pick.

Yeah...I guess I'm still in denial about already tanking just to get a pick. What a waste....

Well if the season ended tonight, we'd have the #2 pick. So it's a distinct possibility.
Of course, I'd rather trade the pick for a couple of low first-rounders if I could. The Cowboys' weakness - interior linemen and safety - aren't generally the types of positions you want to spend a #2 pick on.

I was thinking along those lines as well...
but I'd love a play making safety...and they go pretty high.
