This was one of the more disappointing wins of the season...
I hope Dirk's wrist gets back to normal soon.

The Mavs played like crap and still came out with a win.
Although I didn't like the way it was played, it is impressive to do that while having your star score 10 pts on 4/28829 shooting.

Gotta hand it to the Mighty Mite, him and JET really carried the load tonight offensively.
Sucked to see us get dominated on the boards again though. Against a team with as much size as Sacramento, it sure would be nice for Carlisle to give some minutes to Mahinmi at the 4, especially to reward him for his play against Cleveland. Oh well.

He's been lol'ing at me all season unfortunately. Additionally, he's been rofl'ing at me with each painstaking minute that he plays Brian Cardinal at PF.

Terry and JJB played very well. Tyson's defense has been slipping a smidge lately.

I'm wondering how many times fluid will need to post "easy win" after a hard-fought, close game before a certain few people realize he's kidding around.

This game highlighted one of the things that I despise about the NBA. An offensive player is allowed to just bull their way into their defender and unless the defender is smart enough to flop, they get an advantage.
In addition some refs allow a ridiculous amount of shoving on free throw rebounding, absolutely ridiculous. It looks much more like WWF than basketball.

The Mavericks bench came up huge and that was the difference as Dallas got their 10th straight victory by defeating the Kings, 102-100. The 10th consecutive victory marked the 10th time in franchise history they’ve had a double-digit winning streak. JJ Barea channeled his inner Jason Terry as he led the Mavericks in the final quarter. Barea had 15 points on 6-8 shooting in the final quarter. Terry added eight points in the final quarter and finished the game with a game-high 22 points. The Mavericks are 11-1 when Jason Terry scores 20-plus points in a game this season.
Dallas has won eight straight against Sacramento, including 24 of the last 29 match-ups. With the 102-100 victory at Sacramento, the Mavericks have now defeated the Kings seven out of the last nine times on the road. Dallas moved to an incredible 26-1 when they record 100-plus points in a game this season. During the winning streak, the Mavericks are averaging 103 points per game, and holding their opponents to 96.2 points per contest.
The boys in blue had to hit the comeback trail as they fell behind by 10 points in the second quarter. The Mavericks made up a that deficit in the quarter (30-20) to finish with a 56-47 lead at the half. Dallas used a 29-10 run over the last 9:24 of the quarter to take the lead. They improved their record to 9-12 in game where they fall behind by at least 10 points in a game.
Dallas moved to 8-3 on the first game of a back-to-back. They went 15-5 in the first game of a back-to-back in 2009-10. With the win, the Mavericks are 9-2 in games decided by three points or less. The Mavericks went 9-2 (.818) in games decided by three points or less in 2009-10, which was the highest winning percentage in the league in such games.

Maybe this Haywood/Mahimi alternating games thing will work. Haywood definitely seemed to be playing at least 50% better than his normal 0 effort tonight.
I am encouraged. Let's put Mahimi back out there next game, and then see what happens if Haywood is out there the game after that.

Here's a question that must be considered.
If Barea keeps playing like this is there any chance he could ever be considered a legit starting PG in the NBA?
He's had short stretches in the past where he's played this well, but he's really never played this well for this long before. This is definitely the best Barea we've ever seen. You've got to give the guy a lot of credit.
He's so good right now I don't worry at all when Kidd goes out of the game.

Is it just me, or is the referring in the NBA significantly worse this year overall than it has been in any other year in recent memory?
Every game it seems like there are at least 4-5 really horrible, clearly incorrect calls.
That double tech was just ridiculous tonight.

True. That double tech was horrible. Well, I didn't complain, because it sent Cousins to the bench. To be honest though, neither Chandler nor Cousins deserved a tech for that. That was a situation which happens multiple times in every game.

The double-tech was ridiculous. What is tyson supposed to do when the refs allow cousins to lower his shoulder and shove him under the basket? Cousins had been bull-rushing all game.
To be honest I couldn't figure out why they called a tech at all, it should have just been a personal foul on cousins.
