I would hate to lose Nash but this certianly is enticing because of the defense and toughness both Jackson and Funerburk bring. I wonder how it would work with both Webber and Dirk in at the same time in regards to their position on the floor.

Quick Question : Ever stop to think Why Sacramento would do this trade?

Didn't think so.

No way I see Sacramento doing this. And I don't think that it would solve all our problems. There are better ways to get rid of Walker.

Finley has been sucking up too this season. Why all the hate toward walker. He just does what every mav does. Jack it up.

MT, I say as I laugh out loud, you must be on crack.

Now that we got that cleared up, I agree with your first comment, why would Sac do this? Why would we? It's always fun to think about it though.

What do we really need? Needs prioritized:

1. A 7' Center who is muscular, athletic enough to be a fiend on the boards, and can move his feet to play defense, be a shot-blocking threat
2. Ridding ourselves of Antoine Walker
3. A backup point-guard who can fill it up - handle and score
4. A leader to emerge
5. A coach not on crack.

Golden State trades:
C Erick Dampier (10.9 ppg, 10.9 rpg, 0.7 apg in 31.4 minutes)
PG Nick Van Exel (13.3 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 6.2 apg in 34.0 minutes)

Golden State receives: SF Josh Howard (8.4 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 1.3 apg in 28 games)
SF Eduardo Najera (3.3 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 0.4 apg in 28 games)
PF Antoine Walker (16.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 4.9 apg in 36 games)

TRADE ACCEPTED

As part of the deal, GS has to cut Avery Johnson so that he can be picked up by Dallas. Dallas also throws in a #1 pick.

New Lineup:
Nash/VanExel
Finley/VanExel
Jamison/Daniels
Nowitzki/Fortson
Dampier/Bradley

We have to give to get. Golden State gets rid of Van Exel, who is causing trouble with the coach. They give up a lot in Dampier, but they get a look at Walker, a good rookie in Howard, a serviceable backup and great draw in Najera, and a #1.

We get toughness in the playoffs, a balanced roster, and our first of two consecutive championships after we can Nelson and hire Riley for next year.

First off, you didn't clear anything up with that "crack" statement which I found zero humor in.

Second, I merely asked Why Sac would do this trade. Now what makes you think I'm on crack for saying that??

Which we've got on a 10-day contract but a certain fat moron of a coach wouldn't give him the time of day.

Good luck. I'd be very surprised if Walker is not re-signed to this dallas squad in the offseason.

If Cuban trades Walker then he's admitted that he made a so-called "mistake" in trading for him....something his Ego won't let him do.

No such Player. It's either a Shoot-first PG or Pass-First PG.

Quote:
4. A leader to emerge
That should be Finley's department but Dirk should be the one.

5. A coach not on crack.
I wonder if he's smoking the same brand that I am?

MT, glad you saw some humor in my comments, if not at the beginning, at least at the end of your reply.

You know I'm joking with you MT, it's fun for you to kind of be a nemesis, since I (and most people, like ESPN radio) don't like Walker's game, and you (and a few others) would fall on a sword for Walker.
