1. more or less evenly skilled teams, maybe mavs with a little advantage
2. our players lost their composure and focus on too many occasions
3. several questionable coaching decisions on our side, pop is still an elite coach

Conclusion: The overall better team won since we were out-coached and often mentally overwhelmed.

8 first-quarter points. End of story.

“He’s always around 23 or 24,” West said. “The bell rings every day.”

Right, but I think that demonstrates the coaching problem. Carlisle just sat there and let the starters keep chucking up and missing jump shots, instead of calling a time out and figuring out a way for somebody to get to the rim and get some calls on the Spurs. Instead, he goes three guard small ball, which was totally ineffective for way too long.

I hope Kidd is back only to mentor Roddy into the starter. Kidd can't make a whole season anymore, as apparent from this series. I don't blame Kidd...he was way overplayed the whole season....any numb nuts saw that.

Someone needs to hire an offensive coordinator.

Yes, and while they're at it, maybe a defensive coach that specializes on blocking out. Our opponents get too many easy put backs.

Wouldn't be a bad idea.
