GDT: Mavs host the Grizz (7:30PM CST)
Apologies to GermanDunk, but at 5-7, we have to keep the good mojo flowing anyway possible.
That means keeping the same GDT starter until we lose.
Go Mavs!

I'm fine if you keep starting the GDT

They x-rayed Josh's ankle and there isn't any structural damage, but he still has some swelling according to the dallas morning news.
If they feel like they can match up with the Grizz tonight, I hope they keep him out and let it get healed up.

Grizz are young, you give them any reason to hope, it would be difficult come the 5 minute mark in the 4th. Tremondously athletic group. Gasol has been a nice find for them, a little bit of a reprieve on the "one sided" trade. Grizz have been going with Arthur at the 4, hopefully Dirk can take advantage of that.

Sefko says:
Quote:
Gerald Green hobbled up the stairs from the Mavericks' practice court to the locker room holding his lower back.
It did not look like a good sign.
Green tweaked his back during a shooting drill after the morning shootaround. Coach Rick Carlisle said he was hopeful that Green would be OK for tonight's game against Memphis.
The Mavericks are listing Josh Howard as a game-time decision with his left ankle problem. He was limping slightly, but appeared to be moving much better than he was Wednesday in Houston, when he did not play.

Nice young talented team the Grizzlies are, but no excuse not to win this one. It should be a 10+ point margin by the end of the 3rd. Comfortable win.

Athletic team, we'll need decent games from 2 of Williams, Green, Wright, Singleton, at least defensively to minimize Gay and Mayo. Also Gasol can do a lot of damage inside or out. Keep him cold early. Young teams thrive on momentum and confidence, take that away early and it should be a good easy, tidy win....do not play down to the level.

You'll love OJ, highly skilled player, can create for himself or others. Very intelligent player. But he has this penchant to just disappear for blocks of time, I guess that will come with time as he carves a name, niche for himself in the league. I saw a lot of that at USC, I guess not wanting to rub teammates the wrong way.

Yeah, I drafted him in our fantasy league because I think he'll be a good one for a long time. Just actually get to see him for real tonight.
thanks for the heads up!

Is it me or are the Gasol brothers one of the ugliest pair of family members in this entire world?

Pitiful start. Kidd has been pretty awful so far. And Singleton has missed a couple of bunnies.
Dirk has got to shoulder the offensive load tonight.

How many free throws have the mavs shot that weren't a result of a defensive three sec? By my count it's exactly 1. That sucks.
