An open letter to TwoDeep3
Two Deep3...I've been away fom the board for a couple of days and came back to find some of the worst and most ridiculous language that I've seen in long time.
If you have a point to make, make it...and please do so without reference to "swinging p*****". "popping P******, panties in your *** ***** or "kiss my ***"
This is not your dirty little playground or YOUR TOILET...it's a community with people of all religious persuasions, ages and genders. Don't you have one shred of decency and respect for others in you ?
There's also no need to point fingers at any "clan, ilk ,...or anything like that. It's a childish, simplistic and immature way to look at all of us who post here. We're all individuals with different religious, political and "basketball" beliefs. Some of choose to work out our serious differences through PM's without these type of scatalogical references.
Let people speak their minds about management or what ever they want. It's a free country and frankly, since my money goes to the Mavs, I can say what I please about the team or management. And so can anyone else. Most of us seem to manage our differences without genital or body function references...excepting you and David, of course.
I appreciate a guy like Dude1394 who can come on...express a deep difference with others...and do it in a non-vulgar way. He's respected by me for that and always has been.
Frankly, I hope you get banned for a long time. Your mouth is way out of control and I don't think you need to say one word about language to MFFL, or anyone else, until you clean up yours.

RE: An open letter to TwoDeep3
I like to have TwoDeep3 posting here because this place needs dissidence and he, along David, represents it very well.
But, even when I don't understand (or when I do, I can't figure out the extent) most of the harsh or dirty language, it would be great if he could remove it from his posting.
Hope he don't be banned; hope he can continue defending his position and contributing, with clean posts.

I like to leave the language issues to be self-policing amongst you guys, and we usually avoid serious problems thanks to people voicing their opinions on it. I toss out cuss words every now and then, but I pick my spots like any mature human being, and I'd prefer that everyone else did the same.
It's mostly the "clan, ilk" crap that I don't like. That's just lame. If you have a differing opinion from someone else, the focal point should be proving them wrong or proving yourself right, not pointing critical fingers at an imaginary "clan." The guys who do that come out looking weak and threatened, and it just ruffles peoples feathers and encourages cliquish behavior. That's what I really want to see go away.

I feel compelled to chime in on this subject with agreement to OP's post. The language crap needs to go. Nothing wrong with an occassional "lesser" word here or there for effect. The rest of it it just in pain in the arse. There are other ways to express yourself without the toilet talk.
Arse, WTF and other similar references have worked very well over the last several months. Try it.

Agree with the above posts. Another thing though: it's cool if you want to disssect one post point-by-point, but if that is done over and over again, the whole thread becomes unreadable (to both KG and TD3). I stopped reading after the point-by-point reply to a point-by-point reply.

RE: An open letter to TwoDeep3
i actually encourage the point by point replies..
at least it shows that they are actually reading what the other person has to say. I would actually encourage more people to do so

Stupidass point-by-point-by-point-by-point-by-point-by-point-exchanges are damned, damed irritating...
Maybe I am alone here, but I will say that if any poster on this forum wants to make a cogent point, making it succintly, and singularly might just be a good and productive idea...

I apologize for my part in bogging the thread down the other day (even though it was a thread that I opened). I knew that would happen, but point-by-point replies are sometimes necessary, and they were in that case.
As for this thread, if I had one request of TwoDeep3, it would simply be to drop the "me against the message board" mentality and just debate with each person on an individual basis. I agree with and disagree with every single person on this message board at some point or another. There are no "yes men" that I'm aware of on this message board. I'm not looking for a bunch of people to tell me I'm right; I'm looking for an intelligent debate if somebody thinks I'm wrong.

I do like reading most of the point by point replies. I do not have the patience to reply to those myself though.
