Default Mavs team comparisons

I was just thinking, if the Mavs win it all this year, they will be the first team besides MJ's in umpteen years to win it all without a dominant low post player or defender. All the other previous champions have had a Duncan, Ben Wallace, Shaq, Hakeem, Kareem, etc.

What teams, if any, would you compare this Maverick team to?

Dude... curb your enthusiasm a little.

It's true that Dallas doesn't have a dominant low post presense, and I don't remember any other teams like that except Chicago Bulls.

But... just chill and enjoy the WCF.

Dirk IS a dominate low post player. Or did you not watch the SA series? Duncan is somewhat better, but Dirk takes it to the hole great, and posts up well now, although more at the stripe than low block.

Defensively, Jiop and Damp are pretty good. Not great, but pretty good.

Silly rabbit, 28 and 11 boards IS a nightmare low post threat.

Offensively, I don't think the Pistons have a dominant low post presence. In some ways, I think the Mavs have followed the blueprint of the Pistons.
